Event Details

Historian Bill Weiss will discuss an important anniversary: on July 2, 1964 President Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which effectively ended de jure racial segregation in public accommodations throughout the South and Border States.  It was a big step, but not the last in a long, courageous and often violent struggle for racial justice in America.
