Before enlisting to help fight WWI, Ernest A. Love had already become a hometown hero on the football field. Then, in 1917, he joined the Army and served as a pilot, flying missions in Europe. In September of 1918, Love was unfortunately shot down and killed on a mission in France. This September through Veteran's Day in November, our airport celebrates the life and service of this young man through photographs and memorabilia.
